Rain reskeds Belleria & Truly 2-player; 36-hole weekend in May!!

Saturday at Trumbull Country Club was a wash-out for the Belleria / Truly 2-player shootout.

Greatest Golfer will now put a 2-player, 36-hole weekend on the calendar May 21-22 cuz we want the chance to be with Greatest an entire weekend.

Here’s how we’ll roll:

- The canceled Trumbull event now moves to the rolling century-old confines of Salem Golf Club, the private track south of downtown Salem. It is one of Greatest's faves due to the rolling hills that you will not see anywhere else in the Valley. The Par 5 No. 10 will leave u talking for days.

This will be Sunday, May 22 with 1 pm tee times starting off No 1 and No 10 - just how we roll on Title Sundays at The Lake.

- Our other 2-player is the day before, Saturday, 5/21 at Links at Firestone per the original plan.

We’ll bump the prizes for the weekend, too, thanks to Truly. Our sponsors - Belleria and Truly - have been great. So we are creating this special set of 3rd prizes:

If you decide to play in both 5/21 and 5/22 events, you will be eligible for Day 1, Day 2 and 2-day prizes.

So - Day 1 @ Links is stand-alone if u choose — Its own prizes and winners.

And Day 2 @ Salem is stand-alone if u choose — Its own prizes and winners.

One pair of winners from Saturday and Sunday will get a free ride to Greatest

But if a team is in both events, we will have a 3rd pot of prizes funded due to the power of sponsorships into Greatest.

The 13^th season of The Farmers National Bank Greatest Golfer tees off with 4 new golf events this spring to launch the Valley’s 2022 golf season.

Three country clubs and the top links public course will host two 2-player events and 2 singles events from April 16 to May 20 hosted by Belleria Pizza and Italian Restaurant.

The events lead a summer packed with golf for all ages, including a 10-event junior circuit, a Greatest Day of Golf fundraiser to benefit Boys and Girls Club, juniors and adults skills competitions, and the signature 54-hole adult championship in August with more than 325 top amateurs competing.

These events are for players aged 18 and older; the listed time is the first playing group’s tee time for the day. The fields will be targeted to 80 players. Events will feature several flights, cash prizes and entries into August’s 54-hole championship. $100 per player covers cart, play and prizes.

In all events, handicaps are needed for flighting. All 2-player scoring will be gross though, unless we're forced into Net due to size of field. Handicaps are also needed in the singles, and we will pay out gross and net winners in each flight.
